ST. CHARLES – State Representative Dan Ugaste (R-Geneva) is now accepting applications for his 2019 summer legislative internship program.
The Representative is asking that area high school or college students, with an interest in state government, apply to be an intern in his District Office in St. Charles, located at 2325 Dean Street, Suite 800. The internship program will run from June to August, and interns will be expected to work a minimum of 5-10 hours per week to receive compensation. Internship duties include assisting with constituent services, researching legislation, participating in local community outreach events, and more.
“I am eager to involve young students in the legislative process and give them the opportunity to see firsthand the workings of a legislative office,” said Ugaste. “This will be a great experience for someone interested in pursuing a career in government, and will be a great overall learning opportunity. The summer months will be filled with outreach activities and constituent events, and it is a great time to get students involved in the great things we have going in the 65th District community.”
All interested candidates are asked to contact Representative Ugaste’s office by phone: 630-797-5530 or email: ugaste@ilhousegop.org by Monday, May 13th.
Dan Ugaste is a first term State Representative for the 65th District, and represents portions of northwestern Kane and southern McHenry Counties, which includes Elgin, South Elgin, St. Charles, Hampshire, Huntley, Pingree Grove, Batavia and Geneva.
