GENEVA – State Representative Dan Ugaste (R-Geneva) is hosting a blood drive in partnership with Versiti Blood Center of Illinois. The event will be held in Elgin on Saturday, January 23rd from 9:00am-1:00pm at The Einstein Academy (in the gym), 747 Davis Road. Food donations for local food pantries are also welcome during the event.
Representative Ugaste’s Blood Drive will help local blood banks increase their supply amid the countless cancelled blood drives across Illinois throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. The upcoming drive will help mitigate the blood shortage that has affected the state over the last ten months.
“Every blood donation can help make a difference and I would encourage anyone who is able, to come out to this event,” said Rep. Ugaste.
