Outside Children’s Safety Expo in Geneva: October 16th

State Representatives Keith Wheeler (R-Oswego) and Dan Ugaste (R-Geneva) invite local families to attend a free Outside Children’s Safety Expo from 9:30am – 12:30pm on Saturday, October 16 at Chapel Street Church, located at 3534 Keslinger Road in Geneva.

The Outside Children’s Safety Expo features over 40 state and local agencies, non-profit organizations and local businesses covering a wide range of educational, health and child care, recreational and community services for families and children. Special attractions include the popular Touch-A-Truck exhibit featuring over 20 trucks located in the parking lot, the LIFESTAR medical helicopter landing at 10:00 am; and FREE Child I.D. cards offered by Geneva Masonic Lodge 139.

Admission to the event is FREE with a drawing for giveaways. Information will be available on topics such as bicycle safety, after-school activities, nutrition, the Illinois State Treasurer’s I-Cash program and more. Face Painting will also be offered.

Demonstrations include the Illinois State Police K-9 at 9:30am, the Traveling World of Reptiles Show at 10:00am, the World Martial Arts Academy at 11:30am. and the DancEncounter School of Dance demonstration at Noon. A drawing for giveaways will take place at 12:30pm.
