Rep. Ugaste Recognizes Small Business Week in Illinois & Encourages Nominations for 65th District Small Business Spotlight

ST. CHARLES – Following National Small Business Week 2023 from April 30th to May 6th, State Representative Dan Ugaste (R-Geneva) is recognizing 65th District small businesses and small business owners. He also encourages aspiring entrepreneurs to take advantage of resources available on his website on how to start a small business in Illinois and for 65th District constituents to participate in his 65th District Small Business Spotlight.

“Small businesses make up our Main Streets, serve our communities, and are so important to the identities of our hometowns,” said Rep. Ugaste. “After the difficult years of the COVID-19 pandemic that small businesses faced, it’s important to patronize these local storefronts in person and online. Be sure to patronize these businesses and nominate your favorite 65th District small business for my Small Business Spotlight!”

This year, Rep. Ugaste also is launching his 65th District Small Business Spotlight. He encourages individuals or organizations to nominate their favorite 65th District small business or business owned by a constituent of the 65th District. Businesses will be recognized on a quarterly basis and nominations not selected in one quarter may be selected in a later quarter. The first small business will be announced in late June. Constituents can find a map of the 65th District at RepUgaste.com/District.

In addition to his Small Business Spotlight, Rep. Ugaste has information to start a small business in Illinois on his website at RepUgaste.com under “Resources.”
