Rep. Ugaste Hosts Public Safety Roundtable with Local Law Enforcement Officials to Protect Families

ST. CHARLES – On Wednesday, State Representative Dan Ugaste (R-Geneva) invited top local law enforcement officials to have an honest dialog about legislation that will protect families in the 65th District and across the State of Illinois.

“Every family in our district and throughout our state deserves to feel safe in their homes and in their community,” Rep. Ugaste said. “Increasing crime is a very real concern in Illinois. The SAFE-T Act was passed with no substantial input from the experts who actually protect the public. Ignoring the men and women who are out on the streets, as well as the dedicated staff who manage the prosecution along with protecting victims is a recipe for poor morale and decreased public safety.”

Rep. Ugaste serves on the House Truth in Public Safety (TIPS) working group and serves on the House Police & Fire committee.
