In response to legislation that was recently filed to prevent law enforcement from conducting traffic stops to enforce most minor traffic violations – Yesterday, Illinois State Police officers stopped a semi on I-70 for improper lane usage and other minor traffic offenses.
During the stop, officers found a girl suspected of being trafficked. Enforcement of minor traffic violations saves lives and empowers survivors.
