Rep. Ugaste Cites Failed Democratic Leadership, Calls For Bold Measures to Reclaim Illinois

Springfield, IL – State Representative Dan Ugaste (R-Geneva) is calling for bold and conservative leadership to set a new course for Illinois amidst seven straight years of failed Democratic policies under Governor JB Pritzker and one-party Democrat control. During a speech on the House Floor today, Rep. Ugaste urged all Illinoisans to fight back and work to rebuild Illinois.

In his speech, Rep. Ugaste noted Illinois’ status as the nation’s leader in population loss, its dead-last ranking in economic racial equality, the sunset of the Invest in Kids Act, the worst in the nation property tax rate, and billions wasted on non-citizen healthcare.

“We are the party of working families, the party of common sense, and the party of solutions,” Rep. Ugaste stated. “I am calling on every Illinoisan – Republican, Independent, and Democrat – to not give a moment of peace to those who have led our state into the inferno. Join us in reclaiming our state from those who have burned it to the ground. It’s time to fight back and rebuild Illinois.”
