St. Charles, IL – State Representative Dan Ugaste (R-Geneva) has honored three local groups with scholarships from the Illinois Legislative Sportsman’s Caucus. For 2025, scholarship checks have been awarded to the St. Charles Sportsmen’s Club (for youth activities), the South Elgin High School Bass Fishing Club, and the Geneva High School Bass Fishing Club.
The purpose of the bipartisan Sportsman’s Caucus is to protect and advance policies that promote hunting, fishing, or other outdoor recreational activities.
“I am excited to be able to award these scholarships to these very deserving youth groups,” stated Rep. Ugaste. “I am grateful that the Sportsman’s Caucus continues to promote outdoor recreational activities for our outstanding students and ensure enjoyment for generations to come in District 65 and throughout Illinois.”
