Members of the House Republicans and the Truth in Public Safety (TIPS) Working Group sent a letter to Governor Pritzker last week in reaction to the Governor’s recent comments about being open to changes to the SAFE-T Act. We hope meaningful conversations can take place soon, and as the letter below shows, House Republicans have been committed to proposing legislation to improve public safety and the safety of everyone, including victims and law enforcement officers, in Illinois.
House Republicans and the TIPS Working Group will continue advocating and fighting for improvements to the SAFE-T Act. Our Working Group includes three law enforcement officers and three attorneys, all with decades of experience and knowledge.
