Rep. Ugaste Hosts Holiday Card Drive for Stateside & Abroad Troops

ST. CHARLES – This holiday season, State Representative Dan Ugaste (R-Geneva) is hosting a holiday card drive for stateside and abroad troops and veterans. He encourages constituents of all ages to send a card with messages of peace and goodwill to his district office by Monday, December 12th at 5:00 p.m.

“This time of year is a great time to spread cheer to Illinois service members and veterans,” said Rep. Ugaste. “While we prepare for our holiday celebrations, they continue to work to protect our nation’s freedom. This is a terrific opportunity to gather friends and family to express your gratitude and spread holiday cheer to our community and nation’s heroes.”

Rep. Ugaste will send all cards to the Serve Illinois Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service to be distributed to veterans and active duty service members across the state. Individuals are asked to please not send cards with glitter, just send the cards with no envelopes, and refrain from placing personal addresses and email addresses in their cards.

Cards can be mailed to or dropped off at Rep. Ugaste’s district office at:

Office of Rep. Dan Ugaste

2325 Dean St.

Suite 800

St. Charles, IL

60175

“You can do this individually or make a group activity of it!” Rep. Ugaste continued. “For example, you can bring this activity to your community group, add it to your Thanksgiving family celebrations, or host a holiday party with a card making station. There are lots of ways we can gather to show our appreciation for our veterans and troops.”
