Reps. Ugaste & Keicher Host Senior I-Cash Event in Geneva

ST. CHARLES – To help seniors in the 65th and 70th District obtain their unclaimed property from the Illinois Treasurer’s Office, State Representatives Dan Ugaste (R-Geneva) and Jeff Keicher (R-Sycamore) are hosting a Senior I-Cash Event. This will take place in conjunction with the Illinois Treasurer’s Office on Tuesday, May 16th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Greenfields of Geneva (0N801 Friendship Way, Geneva).

“It’s important to know if you have any unclaimed property, and we are glad to assist seniors in our communities to help them identify that and reclaim extra income,” said Rep. Ugaste. “We encourage seniors in our districts to stop by this event and learn more about how they can claim their property from the Illinois Treasurer’s Office!”

District office staff will be available for assistance at this event. The State Treasurer is holding more than $3.5 billion in unclaimed funds for Illinoisans. The State holds these lost funds until they are claimed by either the original owner or their heirs. Property is returned at no cost with the proper identification.

For individuals who are not seniors interested in seeing if they have any unclaimed property, they can visit icash.illinoistreasurer.gov to fill out appropriate fields and search their information. Individuals can also check a claim’s status at this same link.

For questions about this event, constituents can call Rep. Ugaste’s office at (630) 797-5530 or Rep. Keicher’s office at (815) 748-3494.
