SPRINGFIELD – In reaction to the lack of a budget and delay on the General Assembly’s scheduled adjournment for spring legislative session, State Representative Dan Ugaste (R-Geneva), released the following statement:
“Even if you ignore the Democrat majority party’s self-imposed deadline, it is extremely disappointing that after 5 months of work there is still no budget to review, not even a draft. This is a massive priority for the General Assembly. We are a month away from the new fiscal year. Our state deserves a better, more transparent budget process that’s accountable to the people we serve.”
