On This Day in History, Al Capone Convicted for Tax Evasion

On this day in Illinois history, Al Capone was convicted for tax evasion. The man who got the tax evasion indictment and eventual conviction of the notorious gangster was a U.S. attorney named Dwight Green who would later become Governor of Illinois.
