Photos: This Week in Springfield

As we continue to wind down the Spring Session in Springfield and work towards passing a budget, it was another busy week. I was honored to attend the Fallen Firefighter Memorial and Medal of Honor Ceremony on Tuesday. On the House Floor, we welcomed international leaders, including the Consulate Generals of Italy, Republic of Ireland, and the United Kingdom.

Democrats are preparing to once again introduce a multi-billion-dollar state budget at the last minute without transparency, accountability, or serious input from taxpayers. I will not support any budget that fails to meet the common-sense standards of providing real property tax relief with no new taxes. The budget also must actually be balanced; no more smoke and mirrors.

Additionally, I intend to file legislation aimed at halting self-benefiting ad campaigns from Illinois entities, public or private, that receive government funding.

Thank you for placing your trust in me to represent the 65th District. It is an honor to represent you in Springfield.
