Geneva, IL…State Representative Dan Ugaste (R-Geneva) offered the following statement after Governor J.B. Pritzker signed the revised legislative maps into law late Friday afternoon:
“Broken promises have become a staple of Governor Pritzker, and in typical Chicago political fashion, he tried to hide it on a Friday afternoon. A noted lack of transparency has permeated this entire process from backroom deals, to sham hearings. The maps signed today were not created in a fair, open manner, they are not what a majority of Illinoisans have said they want and they wholly fail the citizens of Illinois.”
