HAMPSHIRE – In response to a chemical explosion at W.R. MEADOWS, INC. in Hampshire, 65th District State Representative Dan Ugaste (R-Geneva), 70th District State Representative Jeff Keicher (R-Sycamore), 33rd District State Senator Donald DeWitte (R-St. Charles), and 35th District State Senator Dave Syverson (R-Cherry Valley) released the following statement:
“We are saddened to hear of the chemical explosion in Hampshire yesterday, and send our deepest sympathies to the family of the person who was killed and their loved ones. We also ask everyone in Hampshire and the surrounding communities of the northwest suburbs to keep the individual who sustained critical injuries in their thoughts. Additionally, we extend our sincere thanks to the first responders who assisted at the scene.”
