Mobile DMV Registration

This event has reached capacity for the maximum number of constituents we can serve. You can still walk in for the possibility of an appointment should there be cancellations, but it is recommended to please visit a permanent DMV location near you to obtain a REAL ID, driver’s license, or state ID.

Residents in need of basic vehicle services provided by the Illinois Department of Motor Vehicles can take advantage of the Mobile Services which will be held at the South Elgin Public Works Building, 1000 Bowes Rd., South Elgin from 10 AM – 2 PM on September 20, 2023.

The following drivers services will be available:

• Renewal/Correction of Driver’s License
• New/Renewal/Correction of State ID
• Vehicle Sticker Sales (License Plate)
• Organ/Tissue Donor Information and Registration
• Motor Voter Registration with Driver’s License/ID Renewal
• Real ID applications

Driver’s tests will NOT be administered.

Visit the Illinois Secretary of State website for fees and required documentation.

Acceptable forms of payment include personal checks, cashier’s checks, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover credit cards, and debit cards. Cash will NOT be accepted.
